Under the guidance of the Mater General Ordnance and the Colonel Comdt CES Major General H J S Gunawardene RSP USP ndc psc, the Corps of Engineer Services Officers’ Training Day was held successfully at the CES Regimental Headquarters Panagoda on 20 December 2018 with the participation of a large number of CES Officers. The training day was started with a Yoga training session in the morning. After the breakfast all Officers practiced sword drills at the parade ground which was a part of the training day programme.
Subsequently, a lecture on “Green Building Concept” was conducted by Prof Ranjith Dissanayake , the Chairman of Green Building Council Sri Lanka . After the luncheon, a very informative and interesting lecture on “Transport Management” was conducted by Dr Namali Sirisoma the Dean of Faculty of Management, Social Sciences and Humanities at General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University.
As the final session of the Training Day Programme , a Diners’s Club was held in the evening with the participation of all the Officers who took part in the training day activities. Dr Chamila Thalagala addressed the audience as the Guest Speaker and he enlightened the audience with a valuable lecture on “Contract Arbitration"
