Under the guidance of the Director General Engineer Services and Colonel Comdt CES Major General K A P J Ratnayake Lsc, the Training Day of CES was held successfully at CES Regimental Headquarters Panagoda on 13 December 2017 with the participation of more than 50 CES Officers attended from all SFHQs, DIVs & CES Units.
Informative and thought provoking lecture on \"Leadership skills required by the Officers\' was conducted by the Centre Comdt CES, Col R Ganegoda psc and another lecture on \"Load Balancing\" was conducted by Lt Col G W A S B Muhandiramge USP CES. This is a electrical engineering related lecture which would be very useful for the GEs, who will be engaged in jobs of this nature.
After the lunch, a lecture on the topic of \"Contract Management\" was conducted by a visiting lecturer, Mrs Devika Liyanage who is an expert in the subject.
In the evening a Diners\' Club was held with the participation of all the Officers attended in the training day activities. Dr Prathiba Mahanamahewa, a Senior Lecturer , Faculty of Law of University of Colombo addressed the audience as the Guest Speaker. He enlightened the audience with a valuable speech on \"Occupational Health and Safety Law\" related to work place environment.
