THE 2ND ENGINEER SERVICES REGIMENT CELEBRATES THE UNIT DAY
The 2nd Engineer Services Regiment marked its 26th Unit Day on 01 November 2017 with a series of commemorative events at its Headquarters in Anuradhapura. Maj H B C Mahendra CES, the CO 2 ESR warmly welcomed Major General K A P J Ratnayake Lsc the Director General Engineer Services and the Colonel Commandant Corps of Engineer Services who graced the occasion as the chief guest. A guard turnout was accorded in honour of Col Comdt CES and a Mango sapling was planted by the chief guest to mark the occasion. This was followed by a series of entertainment events, an All Ranks lunch and a musical evening. A large gathering including Senior Officers, Officers, and Other Ranks of CES participated in this event.
