THE 5TH ENGINEER SERVICES REGIMENT CELEBRATES THE UNIT DAY
The 5th Engineer Services Regiment marked its 20th Unit Day on 29 January 2017 with a series of commemorative events at its Headquarters in Kankasanthurei. Maj I P Hettiarachchi CES , the CO 5 ESR warmly welcomed Brigadier K A P J Ratnayake Lsc the Director Engineer Services and Colonel Commandant Corps of Engineer Services who graced the occasion as the chief guest. A guard turnout was accorded in honour of Brig K A P J Ratnayake Lsc and a Mango sapling was planted by the chief guest to mark the occasion. This was followed by a series of entertainment events, an All Ranks Lunch and a Musical Evening. A large gathering including Senior Officers , Officers , Other Ranks of CES participated in this event.
