Warrant Officers’ and Sergeants’ Mess of the Corps of Engineer Services hosted a Guest Night to celebrate the 75thAnniversary of the Corps of Engineer Services on 06th January 2025. The event was held at the Regimental Headquarters CES alongside with the Corps Day Celebrations of 75th Anniversary.
The occasion was graced by Major General KAN Rasika Kumara ndc psc, the Colonel Commandant of the Corps of Engineer Services and the General Officer Commanding of 22 Infantry Division who attended as the Chief Guest. Other dignitaries of the event were Brigadier YKS Rangika psc ptsc, the Director Engineer Services of the Directorate of Engineer Services, Brigadier KL Munasinghe USP, Brigadier Admin & Quartering - SFHQ (West), Brigadier NWPSM Perera the Centre Commandant - CES , Senior Officers, Officers and Retired Corps’ Sergeant Majors.
At the entrance the Chief Guest and other distinguished attendees were welcomed by the Corps’ Sergeant Major and the President of Mess Committee of the WOs’ and Sgts’ Mess WO I MSJ Premarathne and Formal proceedings of the event began with the welcome Speech of the PSM of the WOs’ and Sgts’ Mess.
The Guest Night was a memorable occasion, providing an excellent opportunity for current and former members of the Corps to reconnect, share experiences and to celebrate the rich history of the Corps.
