The members of the Corps of Engineer Services Seva Vanitha Branch (CES SVB) paid a heartwarming visit to the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH), Mulleriyawa on 14 March 2025. The visit, organized to extend care and support to the patients at the institute, was led by Mrs. Anupama Rathnayaka, the President of CES SVB, alongside Mrs. Aruni Chandrasekara, the Vice President. The event was marked by acts of kindness and generosity, which brought joy to the patients and staff alike.
During the visit, the CES SVB branch offered a special lunch for the patients, providing them with a warm meal to brighten their day. In addition to the lunch, the team donated gift packs that included a variety of fancy items as well as essential sanitary products that the patients required. This gesture of goodwill was met with immense gratitude, as the patients were touched by the support and care shown by the CES Seva Vanitha Branch members.
To enhance the atmosphere of the day and keep the patients entertained, the Calypso Band of the Corps of Engineer Services performed throughout the event. Their lively music brought smiles and created a joyful ambiance, allowing the attendees to enjoy the entertainment and feel more connected to the larger community.
