PRESIDENT LUDS THE CONTRIBUTION MADE BY THE SRI LANKA RESCUE AND RELIEF CONTINGENT IN NEPAL
Under the patronage of His Excellency the President Maithripala Sirisena, and Hon Prime Minister Ranil Wickramasinghe, a special felicitation ceremony was held at Temple Trees on Monday (18) to appreciate the contribution of the Sri Lanka\'s Rescue and Relief Contingent to relief efforts in Nepal following the devastating earthquake.
Tri-service Commanders and the full contingent including four civil medical consultants and all the tri-forces members attended the ceremony headed by the President.
The CES Troops who took part in the relief activities and their family members also attended this event
President Maithripala Sirisena lauded the Sri Lankan Contingent and expressed his gratitude for their best performances in Nepal and congratulated them for their achievements. The Prime Minister also expressed his gratitude and congratulated the contingent.
