MAJOR GENERAL IANB PERERA RWP USP ndu psc VISITED ENGINEER SERVICES CENTRAL WORKSHOP

The Military Secretary of the Sri Lanka Army and the Colonel Commandant of the Corps of Engineer Services, Major General IANB Perera RWP USP ndu psc visited the Engineer Services Central Workshop, Habarakada on June 25, 2024.

The day’s agenda was begun with the welcoming of the visiting Colonel Commandant by Col N Wanigasinghe Lsc, the Commandant of Engineer Services Central Workshop followed by a guard turnout by the disciplined soldiers of the ESCWKSP. Afterward, Major General Buddhika Perera acquainted with the role, tasks, and progress of projects undertaken by the workshop at Habarakada through the briefing of the Commandant.

A group photograph was taken capturing the momentous occasion with the Colonel Commandant and the unit's officers. Symbolizing the visit, a sapling was planted at the premises.

A tea party provided a casual setting for informal conversations, fostering a sense of unity and camaraderie among the attendees. Thereafter, The Colonel Commandant addressed all ranks by stressing the importance of maintaining good discipline, upholding professionalism, maintaining correct procedures for financial matters, taking measures for drug prevention, and the continuous need for rigorous training.

After the troop address, Major General Buddhika Perera inspected the workshop premises to witness firsthand the conditions and challenges faced by the workshop, strengthening his understanding of the operational environment.The Centre Commandant of CES, Brigadier KL Munasinghe USP and Adjutant RHQ CES also joined the visit.
