The Corps of Engineer Services hosted a significant event at the RHQ CES Officers' Mess, which brought together distinguished members for an insightful evening. On March 26, 2024, attendees had the privilege of engaging in a lecture centred around the theme "Officering in Contemporary Sri Lanka" delivered by the Major General AED Wijendra (Retd) RWP RSP VSV USP ndc psc MSc.

The respected guest speaker received a gracious welcome by the Colonel Commandant of CES and Director General Financial Management, Major General Lanka Amarapala RWP RSP ndc psc at the entrance of the officers' mess. The evening culminated with an entertaining session followed by a delightful dinner, fostering camaraderie among the participants.

The distinguished audience included Brigadier YKS Rangika psc ptsc, the Director Engineer Services, Brigadier KL Munasinghe USP, the Centre Commandant of CES, Brigadier NWPSM Perera, the Brigadier Admin and Quartering - 1 Corps, and many senior officers and officers.
