The Military Secretary and the Colonel Commandant of the Corps of Engineer Services, Major General IANB Perera RWP USP ndu psc made his maiden visit to Engineer Services Trade School Saturday (27). At the entrance he was accorded with a drive pass and he was welcomed by the ESTS Commandant, Lieutenant Colonel SDN Sooriyapperuma USP Lsc CES, followed by a guard turnout showcasing the military discipline.
Next, the visiting senior officers were accompanied to commandants’ office for the comprehensive briefing of the commandant. A group photo of the officers was taken commemorating the visit, fostering unity and shared purpose.
Thereafter, the Colonel Commandant planted a mango sapling, symbolizing the commitment to environmental responsibility and future success and then addressed the troops of ESTS, commending their dedication and professionalism to the well-being of the corps.
Next he inspected the facilities of the ESTS, gaining firsthand knowledge of the regiment's capabilities. The Colonel Commandant was then hosted a celebratory lunch with officers at Officers’ mess.
He concluded his visit by signing the Visitors' Book, as a customary tradition solidifying the visit.
The Deputy Centre Commandant of the CES, Col MSD Perera USP ptsc Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks joined the occasion.
