CREATORS SING ALONG WITH MARIANS: A NIGHT OF HARMONY AND CAMARADERIE

On the evening of March 9, 2024, the CES Seva Vanitha Branch hosted a captivating musical event, "Creators Sing Along with Marians," at the CES Officers' Mess. This enchanting gathering brought together distinguished guests, esteemed military personnel, and their families for an unforgettable evening of music, fellowship, and goodwill.

The event was graced by the esteemed presence of Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage RWP RSP ndu, the Commander of the Sri Lanka Army, accompanied by Mrs. Janaki Liyanage, the President of the Army Seva Vanitha Unit, with the invitation of Major General AHLG Amarapala RWP RSP ndc psc, the Director General Financial Management of the Sri Lanka Army and the Colonel Commandant of the Corps of Engineer Services, along with Mrs. Surangi Amarapala, the President of the CES Seva Vanitha Branch.

Among the distinguished guests were Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Army Major General WHKS Peiris RWP RSP VSV USP ndu and Mrs. Dilupa Peiris, and Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force Major General MK Jayawardena RSP VSV USP ndu and Mrs. Shammi Jayawardena. Also in attendance were the Provost Marshal of the Sri Lanka Army Major General ACA De Zoysa USP Hdmc Lsc and Mrs. Priyanthika De Zoysa.

The audience, comprising officers and their spouses from the Corps of Engineer Services, along with family friends and relatives, gathered with anticipation for an evening of musical delight. To commence the proceedings, the traditional oil lamp was ceremoniously lit by the Chief Guest and other distinguished dignitaries, symbolizing the illumination of unity and harmony.

The program commenced with an enthralling performance by the renowned musical ensemble, Marians, setting a vibrant tone for the evening. Their melodies resonated through the venue, captivating the hearts of all present. As the night progressed, attendees enthusiastically joined in, contributing their voices to the collective harmony.

Adding to the excitement of the evening, a raffle draw was held, offering prizes under three categories: Officers, invitees, and sponsors. The anticipation was palpable as winners were announced, adding an element of thrill and excitement to the event.

Throughout the night, the atmosphere was filled with joy, camaraderie, and a shared appreciation for the power of music to unite hearts and souls.
