THE CORPS OF ENGINEER SERVICES SPORTS EXCELLENCE AWARDS - 2017
The CES Sports Excellence Awards 2017 was the first such event in the history of the Corps of Engineer Services to recognize the CES Sports Stars and felicitate those Sportsmen for their outstanding achievements at Defence Services level, National level and International level. 23 Sportsmen who have excelled in Athletics, Badminton, Billiard & Snooker, Body Building, Boxing , Kabaddi, Hockey, Power lifting, Swimming and Volleyball received awards in this event.
The Ceremony was held at Regimental Headquarters of Corps of Engineers Services on 24 March 2017 and Brigadier KAPJ Ratnayake Lsc the Director Engineer Services and Colonel Commandant CES graced the occasion as the Chief guest. Col NPK Jayawardana, Col (A/Q) SFHQ (MLT), Col R Ganegoda psc Centre Commandant RHQCES, Col KMS Kumara Advisor to MOD on Engineer Matters & Project Manager Sports Complex Diyagama, Other Senior Officers, Officers and parents of the prize awadees were also present at this glamorous occasion.
