THE CORPS OF ENGINEER SERVICES FELICITATES L/CPL BANDARA MVIRS WHO WON THE BRONZE MEDAL FOR MENS'S 52 KG BOXING EVENT AT THE 2018 COMMONWEALTH GAMES.

Under the direction of the Colonel Commandant CES the Corps of Engineer Services Regimental Headquarters organized a felicitation ceremony on 23 April 2018 to honour L/Cpl Bandara MVIRS who won the Bronze Medal for Men's 52 Kg Boxing event at the 2018 Commonwealth Games.

A Plaque and a Cash Award of Rs. 200,000 were awarded to L/Cpl Bandara by Maj Gen KAPJ Ratnayake Lsc. During his speech the Colonel Commandant also announced the promotion of L/Cpl Bandara MVIRS to the rank of Sergeant.

Col R Ganegoda psc, the Centre Commandant CES, Col KMS Kumara the Deputy Centre Commandant CES , Senior Officers, Officers, a large number of Other Ranks and CES Sportsmen participated for this event.
