A number of Other Ranks who contributed to further the glory of Corps of Engineer Services were felicitated during “The Corps of Engineer Services Award of Excellence 2018” held at the Regimental Headquarters Corps of Engineer Services on 22 May 2018. The members of CES who showed their talents in various fields were awarded with valuable plaques, certificates and cash awards. Major Gen K A P J Ratnayake Lsc, the Director General Engineer Services and Colonel Commandant Corps of Engineer Services graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Col R Ganegoda psc , the Centre Comdt CES , Col K M S Kumara , the Deputy Centre Comdt CES, Senior Officers , Officers and large number of Other Ranks participated in the event,

The team lead by WO I NHS Sanjeewa who created the Vesak Lanterns displayed at Gangaramaya Buddha Rashmi Vesak Zones, representing the Corps of Engineer Services, winning the 1st place in year 2012, 2013, 2014 & 2016, 2nd place in year 2015 and special achievements in year 2017 & 2018 respectively.
