THE CORPS OF ENGINEER SERVICES CONDUCTS A KIRI AHARA POOJA FOR JAYA SRI MAHA BODHI
Under the direction of the Maj Gen H J S Gunawardena RSP USP ndc psc the Master General Ordnance and the Col Comdt CES , the Corps of Engineer Services conducted a “Kiri Ahara Pooja” for Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi in Anuradhapura on 21 December 2018 in parallel to the 69th Anniversary Corps Day Celebration of the Corps of Engineer Services in order to invoke blessings on all members of the Corps . The special Kiri Ahara Pooja was followed by a “Shramadana” carried out by CES Officers and Other Ranks at Sanda Hiru Seya Stupa to assist the ongoing constructions of the Pagoda. This event was organized by the Corps of Engineer Services Regimental Headquarters and a large number of Officers and Other Ranks representing all Engineer Services Regiments, Engineer Services Trade School and the Engineer Services Central Workshop participated in this event.
