A farewell dinner was hosted to Colonel GPH Chandrarathne on 27 October 2023. It was held at Officers’ Mess premises with the participation of Director General Financial Management of Sri Lanka Army and Colonel Commandant Corps of Engineer Services, Maj Gen Lanka Amarapala RWP RSP ndc psc, Hon President of CES SVB Mrs Surangi Amarapala, Director of Engineer Services Brig EADK Edirisinghe, Centre Commandant Col YKS Rangika psc ptsc, Senior Officers and Officers with their spouses.
Colonel GPH Chandrarathne and Mrs Lakmini Priyangika were warmly welcomed by the Centre Commandant with other Staff Officers on their arrival. After the farewell speech by Centre Commandant a documentary depicting his dedicated service rendered to Sri Lanka Army and CES was displayed followed by the thanking speech by Col GPH Chandrarathne.
Colonel GPH Chandrarathne and his beloved spouse Mrs Lakmini Priyangika were presented with mementos by the Colonel Commandant and Hon President of CES SVB as tokens to appreciate the tremendous service and support rendered.
