In accordance with the 76th Anniversary celebration of the Corps of Engineer Services, the Corporals' Club of CES hosted a dinner night to commemorate this significant milestone of the Corps on 19 December 2025 at Regimental Headquarters of the Corps of Engineer Services. The event, which brought together members of the Corps, Senior Officers, Officers and NCOs, long-standing legacy and its continued commitment to excellence of the Corps.
The evening began with a warm welcome to the Chief Guest, Brigadier YKS Rangika psc ptsc, The Director Engineer Services of Directorate of Engineer Services by the President and the Senior Corporal of the Corporals' Club Cpl Perera PHLL . Following this, the Senior Corporal took the stage to deliver the welcome speech, extending heartfelt greetings to the esteemed gathering.
The participants were invited to share their thoughts and memories at the occasion renew their cherished memories of the past 76 years, reflecting on the achievements, challenges, and growth of the Corps. The session was a highlight of the evening, bringing everyone together in appreciation of the history and legacy of CES.
The dinner night saw a turnout of around 200 Corporals, representing all battalions and establishments of the Corps, making it a truly inclusive and well-attended event. In addition to the Corporals, Senior Officers of the Corps, Officers of the Regimental Headquarters, the Regimental Sergeant Major, Drill Instructor and the Chief Clerk of the Corps were also present, adding to the event's significance.
The Chief Guest addressed the gathering, expressing his gratitude to the ancestors who sacrificed their lives for the betterment of the Corps. Furthermore, The Director Engineer Services of Directorate of Engineer Services gifted a refrigerator to the Corporals' Club as a token of appreciation.
As the event drew to a close, the Secretary of the Corporals' Club,Cpl Senavirathna RDNL delivered the Vote of Thanks, expressing gratitude to all the guests and participants for making the evening a success.
Brigadier YKS Rangika psc ptsc, The Director Engineer Services of Directorate of Engineer Services, Brigadier NWPSM Perera ,The Director of the Directorate of Management & Maintenance, Brigadier MNJ Perera, Brigadier Admin and Quartering Security Force Head Quarters West, Brigadier MSD Perera USP ptsc, The Centre Commandant CES along with Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks gathered in the evening.
This memorable evening will remain etched in the minds of all who attended, a celebration of the past, present, and future of the Corps.
