THE COMMANDER OF THE ARMY GREETS THE 21ST COMMONWEALTH GAMES BOXING BRONZE MEDALIST SERGEANT ISHAN BANDARA.
During a special meeting held at the Commander's Office on 02 May 2018, Lieutenant General N U M M W Senanayake RWP RSP USP USACGSC, the Commander of the Army greeted and extended his best wishes to the 21st Commonwealth Games Boxing Bronze Medalist Sergeant Ishan Bandara of the Corps of Engineer Services and assured him all necessary assistance in getting ready to participate in the forthcoming 2020 Olympic Games.
Also the Commander of the Army provided Sgt Ishan Bandara with necessary furniture to furnish his house in recognition of his significant achievement.
Major General G R H Dias USP ndc psc IG, the Chairman of Army Boxing Committee, Major General K A P J Ratnayake Lsc the Director General Engineer Services and the Colonel Commandant CES and the Coach WO I Sampath Jayathilaka were also present for this occasion.
