In a heartfelt act of compassion, the Seva Vanitha Branch of the Corps of Engineer Services (CES) donated a wheelchair to the mother of a serving soldier who has been paralyzed and bedridden.
The donation was made with the presence of Mrs Anupama Rathnayaka, the president CES SVB on 29 October 2025 at the Regimental Headquarters, Panagoda.
This initiative was carried out under the guidance and supervision of Mrs. Anupama Rathnayaka, the President of the CES Seva Vanitha Branch, as part of the branch’s ongoing commitment to the welfare of military families.
The wheelchair was presented to Sapper Fernando MMC of 11 Engineer Services Regiment whose family has been facing challenges due to her medical condition. The donation aims to ease her daily life and support the soldier’s family with dignity and care.
