Corps of Engineer Services Seva Vanitha Branch (CES-SVB) organized a simple farewell ceremony to the outgoing president of CES-SVB Mrs Surangi Amarapala on 30 May 2024 at the Officers’ Mess, RHQ CES.
Former president, Mrs. Surangi Amrapala was warmly welcomed by Mrs Uditha Perera, the president of CES SVB for the occasion at the entrance of the officers’ mess.
Later on, a welcome note was extended to the outgoing president, emphasizing the invaluable service rendered by Mrs Surangi Amarapala to uplift the welfare of injured and deceased war heroes and their families and also the families of soldiers in active service of the Corps and raised the best wishes for the former chairperson and her loving family for their future endeavors.
Then, Mrs Surangi Amarapala addressed the gathering and thanked the President and the members of the CES-SVB for the farewell ceremony and recalled the cooperation and the encouragement she received from all Seva Vanitha members with gratitude and highly appreciated those gestures.
The day’s proceedings were marked the end with tea reception arranged for the gathering.
