THE CES REGIMENTAL HEADQUARTERS INAUGURATES THE 1ST WORKING DAY OF THE NEW YEAR - 2018
Regimental Headquarters of the Corps of Engineer Services inaugurated the first working day of the New Year – 2018. Regimental Headquarters organized simple ceremony to mark the event traditionally at Regimental Headquarters premises, Panagoda on 02 January 2018. Col R Ganegoda psc, the Centre Commandant CES hoisted the National Flag and Colonel KMS Kumara, the Deputy Centre Commandant hoisted the Army Flag. \r\nNational Anthem and the Army song were sung by all Officers and Other Ranks present and one minute silence was observed to honour the fallen war heroes. \r\nThe state Service Commitment pledge was read out by Maj RPA Rohana Lsc the Regimental Adjutant and the Centre Commandant addressed the troops emphasizing the importance of their contribution in assisting the Government’s initiative to develop a sustainable agriculture based Economy.\r\n
