Under the guidance of the Director General Engineer Services and Colonel Comdt CES Major General K A P J Ratnayake Lsc, the Officers Training Day of CES was held successfully at CES Regimental Headquarters Panagoda on 04 July 2018 with the participation of a large number of CES Officers. The training day started with a Yoga training session in the morning. Col R Ganegoda psc the Centre Commandant CES made the opening speech addressing the Officers and emphasized the importance of conducting training programmes for Officers. After the breakfast, all Officers participated for a sword drill training session which was a part of the training day programme.
Thereafter , a lecture on “Building Design” was conducted by Charted Engineer Maj OMR Priyantha CES , the CO 6 ESR (V) for the Engineer Officers. After the lunch, a very informative and interesting lecture on “Digital Marketing” was conducted by Mr Dilrukshan Hettiarachchi , the Marketing Head of Inter blocks Ltd , a leading Software company.
As the final event of the training day programme , a Diners’s Club was held in the evening with the participation of all the Officers took part in the training day activities. Lt Col N P A Mendis psc SLSC the General Staff Officer I – RHQ SLSC addressed the audience as the Guest Speaker and enlightened the audience with a valuable lecture on “Wine and Bar Etiquettes "
