CES 74TH CORPS DAY – COMMEMORATION OF FALLEN WAR HEROES

Commemoration ceremony of Fallen War Heroes parallel to the 74th Corps Day Anniversary of Corps of Engineer Services (CES) was held at RHQCES on 05 January 2024. The event was organized by RHQCES under the patronage of Director General Financial Management and Colonel Commandant Corps of Engineer Services, Major General Lanka Amarapala RWP RSP ndc psc.

The ceremony commenced in front of the War Heroes’ Monument at RHQCES premises from 1600 hrs with the multi religious blessings. Floral tributes were paid for the fallen war heroes for their supreme sacrifices for the motherland. Remembrance ceremony concluded with the bugle tributes for the fallen war heroes in the sunset. Together with Colonel Commandant, Maj Gen Lanka Amarapala RWP RSP ndc psc, Commandant of Army School of Logistics Brig YKS Rangika psc ptsc, Centre Commandant Col KL Munasinghe USP, Senior Officers, Officers, Regimental Sergeant Majors, few Senior Non–Commissioned Officers & Non-Commissioned Officers also participated to the event.
