Brigadier NWPSM Perera, the Centre Commandant of the Corps of Engineer Services visited the 14 (V) Engineer Services Regiment, Battaramulla on 21 February 2025. The visit was organized to inspect the administrative matters of the unit.
Upon the arrival, the Centre Commandant was warmly welcomed by the Lt Col WUS Karunarathna CES, the Commanding Officer of 14 (V) ESR and was accorded with a Guard Turnout showcasing the military discipline.
In-line with the programme, the Centre Commandant planted a Sandalwood Sapling in the premises and posed for a group photograph with officers of the unit to mark his visit.
There after the Centre Commandant conducted a camp visit and then inspected the administrative matters of the unit. The Centre Commandant addressed the Officers and Administrative Staff of 14 (V) ESR highlighting the administrative matters in the unit.
He concluded his visit by signing the Visitors' Book, a tradition solidifying his visit and the regiment's history. This significant event highlighted the regiment's professionalism, dedication, and vital role in the Sri Lankan military, further strengthening the bonds within the unit.
Staff Officers of the Regimental Headquarters of Corps of Engineer Services took part in the visit.
