9TH ENGINEER SERVICES REGIMENT(VOL) WINS THE FIRST PLACE IN THE VESAK LANTERN COMPETITION ORGANIZED BY THE ANURADHAPURA MUNICIPAL COUNCIL AND THE YOUTH CLUB

The Vesak Lantern created by the 9ESR(V) depicting the “ Three Nobel Event of Lord Buddha” (සම්බුදු තෙමගුල) has secured the first Place in the “ Buddhagaya Vesak Asiriya” Vesak Lantern competition organized by the Anuradhapura Municipal Council and the Anuradhapura Youth Club.

Warrant Officer I IM Ranasinghe and his team created this 24 feet tall and 26 feet wide Vesak lantern using locally available row materials.
