The 9th Engineer Services Regiment celebrated the 9th Unit day on 15th March 2018 at It HQ in Anuradhapura. The Unit day was commenced with a Guard turnout for the Commanding Officer - 9 ESR(V), Maj N Wanigasinghe Lsc followed by on All Ranks Lunch.
In parallel to the Unit Day Celebrations a "Shramadhana" campaign was carried out by the troops at Ellapaththuwa Hospital and a Lunch was served for the Pregnant mothers at the Hospital. On 13 March 2018, a "Bodhi Pooja" was organized by the troops to invoke blessing for All Ranks of the Unit.
On 17 March 2018 a musical night was held.
