The 5th Engineer Services Regiment celebrated its 21st Unit Day on 27 January 2018 at its Headquarters in Kankasanthurei. A Guard turnout was accorded to Major General KAPJ Rathnayake Lsc the Director General Engineer Services and the Colonel Commandant CES who graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
Upon invitation of Maj IP Hettiarachchi CES, the Commanding Officer 5 ESR a Mango sapling was planted and newly built “Creators Holiday Home” was declared open by the Chief Guest. A series of entertainment events had been organized to mark this day including an All Ranks Lunch, a Lottery Draw and a Musical Evening.
A large gathering including Senior Officers, Officers, Other Ranks and Civil Employees participated in this event.
