The 4th Engineer Services Regiment (Vol) celebrated its 21st Unit Day on 22 August 2017 at its Headquarters in Panadura. Lt Col P N Wijesooriya CES the CO 4 ESR (V) received Brigadier K A P J Ratnayake Lsc the Director Engineer Services and the Col Comdt CES who graced the occasion as the chief guest and a guard turnout was accorded in honour of the Colonel Commandant CES .
To mark the Unit Day, a King Coconut sapling was planted and the newly built two storied Warrant Officers & Sergeants Mess Building was declared open by the Col Comdt CES. The Unit Day celebration was followed by a series of entertainment events, sports activities, an All Ranks lunch and a musical evening. A large gathering of Senior Officers, Officers, and Other Ranks of CES participated in this event.
