The Sinhala and Hindu New Year Celebrations were organized by the Army School of Logistics Trincomalee at the ASL esplanade on 19 April 2019. It was a colorful event with a number of traditional games for the Staff, Students Officers, Soldiers and their spouses and children which all enjoyed. Music was provided by the Eagle Musical Band of Special Forces throughout the day which was entertaining and created a festive mood.

The Commandant, Pakistan Army School of Logistics, Brigadier Nadeem Iqbal Chaudhry nswc psc visited the Army School of Logistics, Trincomalee and he was warmly welcomed by the Commandant of the ASL Brigadier W G D Wanniarachchi psc, the Faculty Members and the Permanent Staff of the Army School of Logistics on 22 January 2019. The Commandant, Army School of Logistics Brigadier W G D Wanniarachchi psc, Faculty Members and Permanent Staff welcomed the Student Officers of the Logistics Staff Course Number 5 as they placed their first footstep at the Army School of Logistics, Clappenburg, Trincomalee on 25 Aug 18. The Logistics Staff Course Number 5 consists of 30 x Middle Grade Student Officers from different regiments in the Sri Lanka Army , 1 x Navy Officer 1 x Air Force Officer and 4 x Foreign Student Officers from Bangladesh, Pakistan
FIRST COMPUTER COURSE CERTIFICATE AWARDING CEREMONY

Exercise Wise Camel is the final major exercise given to the Logistics Staff Course No - 5 and the aim of this exercise is to develop a thorough and further understanding of Student Officers knowledge on the concept of Planning and Execution of Administration and Logistics function of a DAA during Defensive Operations. It was conducted in the form of MAPEX/TEWT including Command Post Exercise within the framework of Div Operation in the terrain of Eastern and North Central provinces of Sri Lanka.
Campaign Study Presentations of the Junior Officers Logistics Course Number 15 on Kosovo Liberation War and the Korean War 1950-1953 was held at the main auditorium ASL on 18 July 2019. The Presentations were based on the use of logistics in each scenario and it was an opportunity for the Student Officers to practise their presentation skills.

CLOSING ADDRESS - JUNIOR OFFICERS LOGISTICS COURSE NUMBER - 15
The Closing Address and the Certificate Awarding Ceremony of the Junior Officers Logistics Course Number 15 was held on 19 July 2019 at the main auditorium of ASL. The Commandant Army School of Logistics Brigadier W G D Wanniarachchi psc graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.

Exercise Golden Ant is the second major exercise in the Logistics Staff Course No 5. It was conducted for seven days from 25 May 19 to 31 May 19 at the Army School of Logistics. The aim of this exercise is to study the mechanism of planning and conducting of admin and logistics support to a division during an offensive operation. The exercise was conducted in the form of a map exercise and a sand model discussion covering the Eastern and North Central Province areas of Sri Lanka.

The opening address of the Junior Officers Logistics Course No 15 was delivered by the Chief Instructor of the Amy School of Logistics, Lieutenant Colonel H A M Premarathne psc Lsc SLASC on 29 April 19 to Eighteen Student Officers. He welcomed the Student Officers and emphasized the importance of following the JOLC. The Oil Anointing (Hisa Thel Gaama) tradition which fell at 0740hrs on 17 April 2019 in association with the Sinhala and Tamil New Year. The Second, Five Day Logistics Workshop for 2ICs is being conducted by the Army School of Logistics and commenced on 11 March 19 and will conclude on 16 March 19 at the Army School of Logistics , Clappenburg .
