The Commandant, Army School of Logistics Brigadier W G D Wanniarachchi psc, Faculty Members and Permanent Staff welcomed the Student Officers of the Logistics Staff Course Number 5 as they placed their first footstep at the Army School of Logistics, Clappenburg, Trincomalee on 25 Aug 18. The Logistics Staff Course Number 5 consists of 30 x Middle Grade Student Officers from different regiments in the Sri Lanka Army , 1 x Navy Officer 1 x Air Force Officer and 4 x Foreign Student Officers from Bangladesh, Pakistan
FIRST COMPUTER COURSE CERTIFICATE AWARDING CEREMONY

RANAVIRU INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY TRAINING INSTITUTE (RITTI) ESTABLISHED AT ASL TRINCOMALEE
The newest Ranaviru Information Technology Training Institute (RITTI) of the Army was established at the Army School of Logistics (ASL), Trincomalee on 3 August during a brief ceremony graced by the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Mahesh Senanayake.

GRADUATION CEREMONY OF LOGISTICS STAFF COURSE NO - 4
A group of 32 middle-grade Army officers, including one Bangladesh officer and a Nepalese officer who followed the one-year Logistics Staff Course - No 4 (LSC) at Trincomalee-based Army School of Logistics (ASL) received their graduation at the Defence Services College auditorium in Colombo held on Wednesday (6 June). The Secretary to the Ministry of Defence Mr. Kapila Waidyaratne PC was the Chief Guest at the Graduation Ceremony of the Logistics Staff Course - No 4.

A five day workshop for Major AQs and SO 2 Administrative and Logistics conducted by the Army School of Logistics commenced on 11 February 2019 and will conclude on 15 February 2019. It is specially designed to provide a sound knowledge in the field of Administrative and Logistics matters to officers holding appointment as Major AQs and SO 2 Administration and Logistics.

The newly constructed Children’s Park, specially built for the Children of Foreign Student Officers and the Children of Student Officers of Logistics Staff Course, Faculty Members, Permanent Staff of the Army School of Logistics was declared open by the Commandant Army School of Logistics, Brigadier W G D Wanniarachchi psc on 5th February 2019. The Children’s Park was a long standing essential requirement of the Army School of Logistics and it was accomplished by the guidance of the Commandant ASL.
SENIOR NON COMMISSIONED OFFICERS LOGISTICS COURSE NO -17
The Opening Address by the Commandant Brigadier WGD Wanniarachchi psc was delivered to the SNCOs of Logistics Course No -17 in the presence of the Directing Staff and the Permanent Staff of Army School of Logistics on 18 January 2019. He emphasized the value of this course in the future for the development of SNCOs in better career prospects. Thereafter the Opening Gambit was conducted to evaluate the standard of the students.
A three day Workshop for QMs of the Sri Lanka Army commenced on 26 Nov 18 at the Army School of Logistics and will conclude on 28 Nov 18. Thirty four QMs from various regiments of the Sri Lanka Army are participating. This Workshop is specially designed to give practical knowledge to Officers in the field of Logistics and Administration to make them more efficient in performing their duties in a professional manner.

FIVE DAY LOGISTICS WORKSHOP FOR BATTALION 2 ND IN COMMAND
A Five Day Logistics Workshop for 2ICs by the Army School of Logistics commenced from 29 October and will conclude on 2 November 18. The Logistics Workshop for the Second in Command is a new Workshop initiated by the Army School of Logistics for Officers in the rank of Major who are holding positions as Second in Command in Battalions. By the direction of the ARTRAC, this Five Day Intensive Workshop heighten and enhance the Officers knowledge in the field of Logistics and Administration.

The Army School of Logistics celebrated the 69 anniversary of Sri Lanka Army on 10 October 2018. To mark this occasion Permanent Staff of the ASL, Student Officers of Logistics Staff Course No 5, Junior Officers Logistics Course No 14 and all Other Ranks were present at the ASL HQ premises and the Army Flag were hoist and the Army Song was sang. This was followed by a Shamadana Campaign at T/Sri Siddhartha Vidyalaya, Chainabay.
ICE BREAKER - JUNIOR OFFICERS LOGISTICS STAFF COURSE NO -14
The “Ice Breaker” event was held at the Army School of Logistics (ASL) Officers’ Mess on 1 October 18 at 1930 hr and all Student Officers of Junior Officers Logistics Staff Course No-14 were welcomed by the Commandant ASL Brigadier W G D Wanniarachchi psc and all Officers of the ASL.
