DINERS’ CLUB AT THE ARMY SCHOOL OF LOGISTICS ENRICHES PROFESSIONAL DIALOGUE

The Diners’ Club session of the Army School of Logistics (ASL) was held on 14 March 2026, bringing together the Faculty, Staff and Student Officers for an evening of professional engagement and intellectual discourse.

The event commenced with the Commandant ASL, Brigadier DIS Jayasinghe ndc psc, warmly welcoming the Guest Speaker, Brigadier TLM Chandrasekara RWP ndc psc, who currently serves as the Coordinating Secretary to the Deputy Minister of Defence.

Brigadier Manjula Chandrasekara enlightened the audience on the theme “Social Ontogenetic Personality Development.” His insightful exposition explored the progressive development of personality within social contexts, emphasizing the influence of experiences, environment and leadership responsibilities in shaping an officer’s character and professional conduct. The session provided valuable perspectives for Student Officers as they prepare for higher responsibilities in their military careers.

In recognition of Brigadier Manjula Chandrasekara's valuable contribution and the profound influence his guidance continues to have on the development of future military leaders, the Commandant presented the Guest Speaker with a memento of appreciation.

The occasion was attended by the Chief Instructor, Senior Instructors, members of the Faculty, Permanent Staff and Student Officers of ASL, making the Diners’ Club a meaningful and enriching event that further strengthened the professional learning environment at the institution.
