A comprehensive Current Affairs lecture was magnificently conducted on 27th January 2026 at Regtl Centre, SLCMP for officers who are preparing for upcoming military examinations, including promotion examinations (Lieutenant to Captain and Captain to Major) and the DSCSC Entrance Examination.
The full-day lecture was delivered by Captain Duminda Cooray (Retd) MSyl, was attended by 39 x Officers. The programme was designed to strengthen officers’ understanding of contemporary issues and enhance examination-oriented competencies.
The session covered key areas such as critical reading and analytical thinking, academic writing skills, professional tips for high achievers, short-answer techniques and structuring high-quality essay-type answers. The lecture concluded with an interactive Question and Answer session, enabling officers to clarify doubts and expand their understanding of the subject matter.
