3RD REGIMENT SRI LANKA CORPS OF MILITARY POLICE BIDS FAREWELL TO OUTGOING COMMANDING OFFICER

The 3rd Regiment Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police (3 SLCMP) ceremonially bade farewell to its outgoing Commanding Officer, Lt Col L G L B Gunarathne USP psc Lsc, at a formal ceremony held at the Regimental Headquarters, Galkulama, on 29 August 2025.

On his arrival, Lt Col L G L B Gunarathne USP psc Lsc was warmly welcomed by the Second-in-Command of 3 SLCMP, Major I M A B Illangasinghe Lsc. The day’s programme commenced with a Guard Turnout and a Ceremonial Parade, followed by a group photograph, a troop address and an All-Ranks tea. Officers and Other Ranks of the 3rd Regiment, Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police, conveyed their heartfelt gratitude and best wishes to the outgoing Commanding Officer on his departure.

The event was graced by Senior Officers, Officers, Regimental Sergeant Mager, Warrant Officers, SNCOs and Other Ranks of the 3 SLCMP, marking a dignified farewell to a respected leader.
