Christmas Spirit Shines Bright at Military Police Christmas Carol Event

The Seva Vanitha Branch of the Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police (SLCMP), in collaboration with the School of Military Police and the 2nd Regiment of the SLCMP, hosted a vibrant Christmas Carol service on 07 December 2024, at the School of Military Police, Girithale.
Organized under the guidance of the President of the Seva Vanitha Branch – SLCMP, Mrs. Manisha Kothalawala, the event aimed to promote religious harmony and underscore the profound values of Christmas.
The evening was filled with festive cheer as the melodious voices of the Carol group from St. Antony's Church, Inamaluwa, and members of the Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police came together to perform a delightful repertoire of Christmas hymns and songs. Enhancing the joyful atmosphere, Santa Claus and his Angels distributed Christmas gifts to the children of the Military Police member's children in Giritale and Polonnaruwa, spreading love and goodwill. The young children of the Military Police Other Ranks, who attended the event, were also treated to a snack, lunch and presents.
The event was graced by distinguished guests, including Director General of the General Staff and Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police, Major General SAND Edirisinghe RWP RSP Hdmc psc; Provost Marshal Brigadier RD Salley ndc, President of the SVB – SLCMP, Mrs. Manisha Kothalawala and Centre Commandant of the Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police, Brigadier MMMP Mahesh Kumara. Members of the Provost Ladies Club, senior officers, officers, other ranks and their families also were present at the venue.
The program not only celebrated the spirit of Christmas but also fostered unity and goodwill among all those present.
