On 9th March 2025, the School of Military Police held a formal ceremony at its Parade Grounds to bid farewell to Brigadier JS Munasinghe, who officially relinquished his duties as the 16th Commandant. His tenure was marked by exemplary service and leadership, leaving behind a legacy of dedication and professionalism in a big change in the School of Military Police's History.
On the arrival, the outgoing Commandant Brigadier JS Munasinghe was warmly welcomed by the Chief Instructor, Major HMCC Sooriyabandara USP. The day's proceedings commenced with the Guard Turnout and Ceremonial Parade, followed by Planting a Sapling, Group Photograph, Troops Address, and All Ranks Tea.
