REGIMENTAL CENTRE SRI LANKA CORPS OF MILITARY POLICE HOLDS AN OVERNIGHT PIRITH CHANTING CEREMONY IN COINCIDE WITH 34TH REGIMENTAL DAY ANNIVERSARY

In congruence with its 34th Regimental Day Anniversary, the Regimental Centre Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police arranged an overnight Pirith Chanting Ceremony on 27 March 2024 to invoke blessings upon Provost fallen war heroes, serving Officers and Other Ranks, retired Officers and Other Ranks and civil staff of the Regiment. The ceremony took place under the guidance of the Provost Marshal of the Sri Lanka Army and the Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police, Major General A C A De Zoysa USP Hdmc Lsc.

The religious activities commenced with the colourful procession followed by the overnight pirith chanting programme and the venerable Maha Sangha conducted a dhamma sermon, invoking blessings for the organization, injured, Provost fallen war heroes and their families. An almsgiving for 18 venerable monks was offered in the morning at the Regimental Centre premises.

The Provost Marshal of the Sri Lanka Army and the Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police, Major General A C A De Zoysa USP Hdmc Lsc, Centre Commandant, Council Members, Other Senior Officers, Officers, Retired Officers, Regimental Sergeant Majors, Serving and Retired Non-Commissioned Officers and Family Members of Provost fallen war heroes participated to the event.
