NEW COMMANDING OFFICER OF 1 REGIMENT SRI LANKA CORPS OF MILITARY POLICE ASSUMED DUTIES

Amidst the religious observances and the ceremonial formalities, Major V N M Jayasekara USP Lsc assumed duties as the 24^th Commanding Officer of 1^st Regiment, Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police, Polhengoda on 7 November 2023.

The newly appointed Commanding Officer was warmly welcomed by the Second in Command of 1^st Regiment, Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police Major H M C C Sooriyabandara USP at the doorstep of the camp. Thereafter, the fabulous guard turnout and the Parade was accorded by the troops of 1 SLCMP in honor of the Senior Officer.

Afterwards, group photograph and finally troops address were held where the new Commanding Officer expressed his vision and the expectation in coming years. Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks of 1 SLCMP participated to the event.
