In commemorative of International Women's Day, the Seva Vanitha Branch of the Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police (SVB - SLCMP) organized a special program on 7th March 2025. The event was held under the esteemed leadership of Major General ULJS Perera RSP USP nps psc, Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police, and Mrs. Iresha Perera, President of the Seva Vanitha Branch of SLCMP.
The proceedings began with the ceremonial lighting of the traditional oil lamp, followed by vibrant performances from the Sri Lanka Army Dance Team and Latin and Ballroom dancers, Mr. Bharatha De Silva and Mrs. Kessi Lara.
Mrs. Chandani Bandara, Founder and Chairperson of Forever (Pvt) Ltd, conducted an insightful workshop on beauty and cultural awareness, which was highly appreciated by all attendees.
The event was attended by more than 70 Females including Mrs. Iresha Perera, President of the Seva Vanitha Branch, 24 members of the Seva Vanitha Branch, 10 Female officers, 17 Female non-commissioned officers, and 18 wives of non - commissioned officers. As a token of appreciation, all participants were presented with gifts, making it a memorable and significant occasion in celebration of International Women's Day.
