COMMANDER OF THE ARMY DECLARES OPEN NEW ALL-RANKS HOLIDAY BUNGALOW AT 7 SLCMP

The newly constructed All-Ranks Holiday Bungalow at the 7^th Regiment, Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police (SLCMP), Diyatalawa, was ceremonially declared open by the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General B K G M L Rodrigo RSP ctf-ndu psc IG, on 22 December 2025.
Upon arrival, the Commander of the Army was warmly received by the Military Secretary of the Sri Lanka Army and Colonel Commandant of SLCMP, Major General B G S Fernando USP Hdmc psc, together with senior officers of the Corps. The opening ceremony was conducted with due military decorum, marking a significant milestone in the Corps’ ongoing welfare initiatives.
The newly established holiday bungalow has been designed to provide comfortable and convenient accommodation for all ranks and their families visiting Diyatalawa. Equipped with essential modern amenities, the facility offers a pleasant, affordable and relaxing environment, ensuring enhanced comfort for officers, soldiers and their families.
This initiative reflects the Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police’s continued commitment to uplifting the welfare standards of its personnel which stands as a long-term investment dedicated to enhancing the quality of life and overall well-being of all ranks of the Corps.
