The Military Secretary of the Sri Lanka Army and Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police, Major General ULJS Perera RSP USP nps psc, paid an official visit to the 2nd Regiment, Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police (2 SLCMP) on 15 March 2025.
Upon his arrival, the Colonel Commandant was warmly received by Lieutenant Colonel HLSK Jayatissa Lsc, the Commanding Officer of 2 SLCMP, with a traditional Guard Turnout. Following the formal welcome, the Commanding Officer delivered a comprehensive briefing on the regiment’s operational, training, and administrative aspects.
During his visit, Major General ULJS Perera addressed the troops, emphasizing the paramount importance of maintaining discipline at all levels, enhancing professional knowledge, and fostering personal discipline. He also underscored the value of continuous military training and urged all personnel to uphold the highest standards of service and professionalism.
The senior officer inspected key areas of the camp, including billets, the Quartermaster stores, the Warrant Officers’ and Sergeants’ Mess, the armoury, holiday bungalows, and the corrective establishment under the regiment’s command.
Concluding the visit, the Colonel Commandant penned his remarks in the Visitors' Book at the Officers’ Mess, marking the end of a successful and insightful engagement with 2 SLCMP.
