The 7th Regiment Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police marked a significant milestone as it celebrated its 9th anniversary on 11 November 2024.
A series of commemorative events, encompassing religious, ceremonial, and entertainment activities were held under the patronage of the Commanding Officer, Major BLKS Balasooriya Lsc. The celebrations began with almsgiving offered for 20 Buddhist monks at the 7 SLCMP Officers’ Mess on 19 November 2024.
The highlight of the celebrations took place on 21 November 2024 with a ceremonial guard turnout presented to the Commanding Officer, followed by a formal parade conducted in adherence to the high standards of the Sri Lanka Army. The day also featured a group photograph and an all-ranks lunch.
The Commanding Officer addressed the officers and other ranks, delivering valuable insights that emphasized the dedication and commitment of all personnel serving under 7 SLCMP in executing their assigned tasks. The day's events concluded with an evening get-together, strengthening unity and camaraderie among all ranks.
