A COMMUNITY EFFORT LED BY THE SRI LANKA BUDDHIST AND PALI UNIVERSITY

Under the guidance of Senior Lecturer Yodhakandiye Ariyawansa Thero of the Sri Lanka Buddhist and Pali University, located in Pitipana, a pilgrimage was organized for the provision of materials needed by all patients receiving treatment at Maharagama Apeksha Hospital. This event took place from 0900 hours on 20 June 2024.

In response to a request made by Yodhakandiye Ariyawansa Thero to the Commander Security Forces (West), 50 troops from various military units actively participated in administrative process of this pindapatha pilgrimage. The Pindapatha Pilgrimage, a symbol of our collective effort, started at Army Bodhirajarama Temple and concluded in Homagama. As a result of this, the pilgrimage monks were able to provide essential items worth five million for the patients at Apeksha Hospital, Maharagama, making a significant impact on their well-being.
