The Seva Vanitha Branch of the Commando Regiment, under the guidance of the Colonel of the Regiment, Commando Regiment and Commander 1 Corps, Major General K H M S Wickramaratne RSP, and the leadership of its President, Mrs Samindie Wickramarathne, conducted a welfare programme at the Apeksha Hospital, Maharagama, on 13 September 2025 at 0930 hrs.
The visit was organized with the noble intention of extending love, care, and encouragement to cancer patients undergoing treatment. The President, together with members of the Seva Vanitha Branch, distributed nutritious food packs, daily essentials, and tokens of goodwill among patients, with the aim of bringing them comfort and uplifting their spirits during their recovery journey.
This initiative, carried out under the vision and leadership of Mrs Samindie Wickramarathne, once again demonstrates the Seva Vanitha Branch’s steadfast commitment to promoting welfare, compassion, and social responsibility, while strengthening the bonds of humanity beyond the military community.
