The Seva Vanitha Branch of the Commando Regiment, under the guidance of the Colonel of the Regiment, Commando Regiment and Commander 1 Corps, Major General K H M S Wickramaratne RSP, and the leadership of its President, Mrs Samindie Wickramarathne, extended a warm welcome to the disabled war heroes of Abimansala II, Kamburupitiya, at the Regimental Headquarters, Ganemulla, during their annual trip on 14 September 2025 at 2000 hrs.
On this occasion, the Seva Vanitha Branch, together with its members, hosted the war heroes with refreshments and distributed essential item packs as tokens of care and appreciation. The participation of the members added warmth and a collective spirit of gratitude, creating an atmosphere of fellowship and respect, while acknowledging the invaluable sacrifices of these national heroes.
This welfare initiative, carried out under the vision of Mrs Samindie Wickramarathne and with the active involvement of Seva Vanitha members, once again demonstrated the steadfast commitment of the Seva Vanitha Branch to the wellbeing of war heroes, whilst fostering compassion, respect and continued support for those who have dedicated their lives to the nation
