NEWLY APPOINTED CENTRE COMMANDANT TAKES OVER THE DUTIES

On 28 August 2024, Brigadier MR Razick RSP ndu, assumed duties as the 15th Commandant of the Commando Regiment Centre. Upon arrival at the main gate, he was welcomed by Deputy Commandant Brigadier RGLK Weerakoon RWP RSP, with a Guard Turnout. A formal Guard of Honour followed, underscoring the significance of the occasion.

The ceremony continued with religious observances at the office complex, seeking blessings for the newly appointed Commandant and the Regiment. Brigadier MR Razick RSP ndu then paid tribute to the fallen Commandos with a floral offering at the Commando Regiment War Monument.

After the formalities, a group photograph was taken, capturing the moment with the regiment’s officers and soldiers. Addressing the gathered Commandos, Brigadier MR Razick RSP ndu emphasized the importance of maintaining well-being within the Army. The ceremony concluded with an all-ranks tea at the Corporals’ Club, marking a fitting end to a memorable day.
