On 10 August, 2024, the President Commando Regiment “Sewa Wanitha” Unit successfully conducted its second essential items donation campaign, focusing on the pregnant wives of commando regiment personnel. During the ceremony, 18 expectant mothers received thoughtfully assembled gift packs containing vital items. Mrs. Nimali Ranathunga, leading the “Sewa Wanitha” Unit, was joined by fellow unit members in this compassionate effort. The event was also attended by Brigadier BMSKK Dharmawardena RWP RSP USP, the Center Commandant of the Commando Regiment, along with senior officers, officers, senior non-commissioned officers, and non-commissioned officers. This initiative underscores the unit’s ongoing dedication to supporting the families of those who serve, fostering a strong sense of community and solidarity within the regiment.
