The opening ceremony of the 90' × 30' building project of the J/Chulipuram East American Mission Tamil Mixed School was held on 30 January 2026. The SFJ Commander and the Commander of the 51 Division participated in the ceremony as chief guests.
The construction project exemplifies the Sri Lanka Army's continued commitment to nation-building and educational advancement in post- conflict regions. Conceived under the strategic direction of Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General BKGML Rodrigo RSP ctf-ndu psc IG, and completed under the supervision of Corps of Engineer Services of the Commanding Officer of the 5th Engineer Service Regiment and was successfully finished within a period of eight months. A total of 5th ESR 35 soldiers dedicated their full effort and commitment to complete the project on time.
The total cost of the project was Rs. 25 million, which was generously donated by Dr. Gitendra Rajiyah.
