As part of the ongoing 75th Anniversary Celebrations of the Corps of Engineer Services, a special Alms Giving Program was organized in collaboration with the CES Seva Vanitha Branch, focusing on spreading joy and kindness to those in need. The event was held to bring happiness to the children of Mavupiya sevana Children Development Centre at Kumbuka, Gonapala and Hiripitiya marking a memorable and meaningful day of generosity and celebration.
On this beautiful occasion, 22 children, including 12 girls and 10 boys, were the recipients of heartfelt gifts and attention. The members of the Corps of Engineer Services, who participated the event ensured that the day would be filled with fun, warmth, and smiles. The children were treated to a series of delightful activities, including fun games, prize distributions, and a special lunch and tea to make them feel loved and cherished.
The gifts presented to the children were both thoughtful and practical. Each child received school accessories, books, and sweets items that would not only bring joy but also help in their educational journey. The children expressed their deep gratitude, their faces lighting up with happiness as they received these carefully selected presents.
The day was further enriched with a musical and dancing events, where the children showcased their remarkable talents. The atmosphere was lively as the children performed with enthusiasm, filling the air with music and joy. Their dances and songs were a true reflection of their vibrant spirits and the encouragement they received from the event.
