In celebration of the Vesak Festival, the Seva Vanitha Branch of the Corps of Engineer Services (CES SVB) organized a Dansela on 12th May 2025 which was held at the CES Welfare Shop premises in Panagoda.
This noble initiative was carried out under the guidance and supervision of Mrs. Anupama Rathnayaka, President of the CES Seva Vanitha Branch, whose leadership and vision were instrumental in organizing the event successfully.
At Dansela, roti and plain tea were offered to the general public. A total of 3,600 rotis were distributed throughout the day, drawing a large number of devotees and passersby who warmly appreciated the thoughtful offering.
The presence of Major General KAN Rasika Kumara ndc psc, the Colonel Commandant of the Corps of Engineer Services and Mrs. Anupama Rathnayake, the President of CES Seva Vanitha Branch made the event particularly significant. Brigadier YKS Rangika psc ptsc, Director Engineer Services, Brigadier MNJ Perera, Brigadier Admin & Quartering of Security Force Headquarters (West), as well as Senior Officers, Officers, and senior members of the CES Seva Vanitha Branch attended the event emphasizing the leadership's strong support for preserving cultural traditions and promoting unity within the Corps.
