Mrs. Aruni Chandrasekara formally assumed duties as the 17th President of the Seva Vanitha Branch of Corps of Engineer Service (CES SVB) on 19th January 2026 at the Regimental Headquarters, during a dignified ceremonial event. Before being appointed as President, she faithfully carried out her duties as Treasurer, Secretary and Vice President of CES SVB demonstrating commitment and leadership.
Upon her arrival, Mrs. Chandrasekara was warmly received by the coordinating officer of CES SVB and started duties with in observance of religious traditions, symbolising blessings. This special occasion was graced by Brigadier YKS Rangika psc ptsc, the newly appointed Colonel Commandant of Corps of Engineer Services and Brigadier MSD Perera USP ptsc , Centre Commandant of Corps of Engineer Services.
Upholding time-honoured tradition, the newly appointed President signed the official acceptance document at a propitious moment, symbolising her formal assumption of office. Senior lady officers and lady officers extended their heartfelt wishes, offering warm congratulations and blessings as she embarks on her new role. The event concluded with a tea party, fostering camaraderie and informal interaction.
