Under the supervision and guidance of Mrs. Anupama Rathnayaka, the President of the Seva Vanitha Branch, CES SVB conducted a Scholarship Awarding Programme on 25 September 2025 at the Regimental Headquarters, CES Panagoda.
During the event, scholarships and prizes were awarded to the children of Officers and Other Ranks of the Corps, recognizing their academic excellence. The recipients included students who obtained 9 A passes at the 2024 G.C.E. Ordinary Level Examination and those who achieved 3 A passes at the 2024 G.C.E. Advanced Level Examination. Altogether, 45 students were honored through this programme.
Adding further value to the occasion, Mr. Sanath Gamage, a well-renowned Specialist in Human Skills Development Training, conducted an insightful lecture on the theme “How to Reach Your Best”. His guidance inspired both students and parents, offering motivation to pursue greater success in academics and life.
The ceremony was graced by the Maj Gen K A N Rasika Kumara ndc psc, Colonel Commandant of the Corps of Engineer Services and organized The presence of Brigadier NWPSM Perera, the Centre Commandant of CES, Mrs. Aruni Chandrasekara, Vice President, Mrs. Dilrukshi Dharmapala, Secretary, senior members, members of the Seva Vanitha Branch, and lady officers of the Corps added much prestige to the event.
The programme not only recognized academic excellence but also served as an inspiration for future achievements, reflecting the commitment of the Seva Vanitha Branch towards the welfare and progress of the Corps family.
